A friend of a friend owns a palatial estate in an exotic location built from reclaimed wood. The reclaimed wood is the owner's statement that he is living an exemplary "green" life and is respectful of the planet and its limited resources. The home is the owner's second or third residence and has untold amenities, including a monstrous garage that, in all probability, harbors several high-end vehicles.
I'm probably just jealous, but if I had a lot of money to make statements, I might pass on the reclaimed wood one with so many other conflicting statements going on.
