Never at any time in the history of our country have so many Americans demonstrated that they are unclear about what has made and what will make The United States of America a great nation. It's not our wealth, our creativity, our accomplishments, our military, or even our vast variety of citizens. It's our founding principles*, which, when understood, acknowledged and followed, will lead this and any nation or individual away from dependence and despair and toward liberty, happiness and success beyond imagination.
