This weekend, our family gathered at a cabin near Garden Valley,
Idaho for a family reunion. We enjoyed lots of eating and talking,
exploring the area, a nail-biter Jenga tournament, wading, and board games. Each
family provided a meal and an activity. Everyone pitched in for the work
and play. Looking back, it feels like the theme of our reunion was how
all the adults, despite differences in personalities and
processes, cooperated in concert to help the younger generation grow and
make important family connections that will last.
America needs to be more like a successful family reunion!
